New members of the National Accademia dei Lincei are elected by current active members in recognition of distinguished contributions to the advancement of the natural and moral sciences. Tullio Padovani has just been appointed as a member (socio corrispondente) of the Accademia dei Lincei. He taught criminal law at Sant’Anna School for over twenty-five years and he is currently serving as teacher and adviser for students and Phd candidates of the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute.

His former students Alberto di MartinoGaetana Morgante and Stefano Del Corso  who became faculty members at Sant’Anna School are proud to announce the appointment of Professor Padovani. During Tullio Padovani’s tenure, the Criminal Law department was widely acknowledged as one of the top departments at Sant’Anna School. Professor Padovani has been one of the most significant components of the Dirpolis Institute and he is a nationally recognized expert in the law profession across private practice, the public sector, and the Bar.

The Italian National Accademia dei Lincei is a nonprofit society founded in 1603 by Federico Cesi. It represents the first world modern scientific academy. It is committed to furthering science and culture in Italy. Since 1992, its members assist and offer expert commentary and analysis to Italian Republic Presidents in their endeavor to disseminate the values of scientific knowledge. Past elected members include Galileo Galilei.
